Semi-Round. Used to hold front and rear springs of heavy trucks. Usually these U-Bolts are make specific, the shape depends on the make of truck. Check the Vehicle list on the main form. semi-round shape
Square. Found on many two wheel drive truck rear axles. Body hold-down U-Bolts, often called gripes use the square bend. The inside corners will conform to a minimum radius (based on rod diameter) to maintain strength. Square shape
Round. Most easily identified. Used on almost all 4WD pickups, many trailers, and cars with leaf springs. Round Shape
